​In the summer of 2014, MMHS submitted the photographs used in the Gould/Cushing book to the Boston Public Library as part of their digitization collaboration with Digital Commonwealth (DC) and the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA). This service was provided free of charge in return for making the images available on the DC website (digitalcommonwealth.org), as well as the DPLA website (dp.la).

If you go directly to our collection (digitalcommonwealth.org/collections/commonwealth:k0698g81x) and “Select All Items,” you can see all 206 Marstons Mills images and their identifying captions. Click on one of them and you’ll get an enlargement of the image as well as a lot more information about the photograph.
